This is how we celebrate crush time!


Harvesting grapes is the first step towards the finished bottle and it is the busiest time of the year our winery. We wrangled our Wine Maker Dean DeKorth and Vineyard Manager away for an afternoon to celebrate the culmination of a solid year’s worth of work, care and expertise.

Into the vineyard came several hundred pounds of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, a few hundred Morro Bay oysters and a bluegrass band to kick off the afternoon. Matt and Dean ended up in the bin stomping grapes amongst the guests – perhaps momentarily forgetting about the intense activity of the harvest season.

Perhaps this little festive break in the schedule will be just what they need to finish out the another successful year!
